Looking for a new 2021 planner/agenda to help you organize the chaos of school or work? Keep reading because I have just the right planners for you to choose from!
The first planner I ever tried was the Lilly Pulitzer planners. On amazon, these gems run for $25 on average. Of course they can be less or more expensive depending on the size. I always bought the "large" size from amazon for high school and I never paid more than $30. Even if you're not a fan of shopping on Amazon, these planners are still $30 on the official Lilly Pulitzer website so you don't have to worry about paying more between the two platforms.
I love the Lilly Pulitzer planners because they have so many different patterns to choose from! The patters are mostly beachy/floral and very colorful, it makes me excited and more likely to use my planner on a daily basis. I don't know about you, but if the planner doesn't add some excitement to my day, then I'm less likely to use it. Another feature of the Lilly Pulitzer planners that I love is the layout. The Large planner consists of a full month spread that allows you to look at the whole month without flipping through multiple pages and there are also weekly spreads for every month for your to-do's, homework assignments, ect. There are also pages in the front for notes, contacts, and important dates. The Lilly planners also have cute colorful stickers for things such as date night, vacation, and girls night. Additionally, I love that these planners come with pockets in the front & have packing lists!
The only con about the Lilly Pulitzer planners is that they are 17 month planners. Meaning, the 2020-2021 planners would run from August 2020- December 2021. If you aren't familiar with the brand and it's your first time buying, be sure that you are buying your new agenda in a time that you would get the most out of it! My first time buying a Lilly Pulitzer agenda, I bought it in January because I was use to buying 12 month agendas, and I ended up having those extra pages from august-dec of the previous year that I couldn't use. If this doesn't bother you or you are use to buying 17 month agendas, more power to you!
The second brand of planners that I would suggest are the Erin Condren Planners. Though a bit more pricey than the Lilly Pulitzer brand ($50 +), you may find the price increase worth it if you like a planner that can be tailored specifically to you.
One of my favorite aspects of the Erin Condren planners, specifically the Coiled Lifeplanner, is that they are highly customizable! With the Erin Condren planners you can choose your cover design, your coil color, your weekly layout and whether you want a colorful or neutral color scheme. Examples of how you can customize your cover include adding your name, a picture of yourself, or even adding a picture collage!
Additionally the planner comes with 4 sticker sheets, a ruler, a folder, storage box, and cute bookmarks that have inspirational quotes on them. Like the Lilly Pulitzer planner it has monthly spreads as well as weekly spreads, notes and contact pages. It also has an inspirational quote for each month. Also, if you're someone like me who carries multiple books in your book-bag or drops/spills things often, don't worry because these agendas come with durable laminate covers that can handle (almost) anything!
The only con about the Erin Condren planners is the price. They begin in the $50 range and the price increases with different layouts and customizations. However, if you really want this planner I'd suggest catching a sale such as black Friday or cyber Monday sales or asking for it as a Christmas/birthday gift!
My third favorite planner is The Happy Planner. I love happy planners because they are highly customizable as well. On their website you can pick the planner that's right for you by picking the size you want (there's 5), by layout (horizontal, vertical, dashboard, and monthly), or by theme (wellness & fitness, budget, faith, and teacher). Step 2 is to personalize your stickers. You can choose from everyday, productivity, seasonal, colorful, teacher & student, and decorative stickers. The last step is to acccessorize. You can accessorize with accessory books, punches, discs, filler paper, extension packs, and washi tape. Like I said, HIGHLY customizable.
When I used this brand, I bought the big Happy Planner in the wellness & fitness theme. Each weekly spread featured habit trackers where I could track how many days and what days I worked out each week as well as what I was reading and watching and how I spent time unplugged. Using this agenda really helped to increase my mindfullness along with increasing my productivity. Like the Erin Condren planners, this planner also had a inspirational quote spread to go along with each month as well as a place to write my personal goals for the month. The pricing for this type of planner starts at $32.99. Of course, the smaller planners are cheaper.
The only con about the big Happy Planner is that I feel that it is too heavy. It has alot of pages which makes it very thick. It is similar to a thin paperback text book if that helps you picture it! I have never used a planner this big before so it took me a bit longer to get use to, but it does give you a bunch of writing space!
